Privacy — iTellYou publishing

This is iTellYou's internal publishing tool operated by iTellYou Technology Inc. It is used by the iTellYou team to review and publish short videos to the iTellYou TikTok and Instagram accounts. This notice covers this publishing tool only; the iTellYou apps are covered by the iTellYou Privacy Policy.

What we receive from TikTok

When you continue with TikTok, we receive your TikTok open ID, display name and avatar (user.info.basic), and access tokens that let this tool upload and publish videos you explicitly approve (video.upload, video.publish). We also read your account's posting options (privacy levels, and whether comments, duets and stitches are allowed) each time you open a video, so the form matches your TikTok settings.

How we use it

Only to show which account a video will be posted to and to publish the videos you confirm. We never post without your confirmation, never read your other videos, messages or followers, and never sell or share this data.

Storage and deletion

Tokens are stored in Google Cloud (United States region), encrypted at rest, and are used only by this tool. Sign out and revoke access at any time in TikTok under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions; you can also email contact@itellyou.ca and we will delete your data within 30 days.
